Interior Inspiration: Small Spaces & Minimal Design

20th July 2016

Moving into my new tiny flat is only weeks away so I’ve been thinking about ways of making the most of the space. I always find smaller spaces more of a challenge and really push boundaries, hence making you think out of the box and becoming more creative. The one thing I definitely want is to keep it as minimal as possible. Clutter free with very little pieces of furniture – a case of less is more. Also with a small space, lighting is everything and luckily we have amazing daylight shining through the flat. Making the space appear more grand, I’ve decided that the colour palette will be white/grey, pretty much my favourite combo.

So while gathering inspiration online I came across this small apartment in Sweden via real estate, Alvhem‘s website. Oh boy, it was love at first sight, this 46 sqm flat is such a real treasure and exactly the sort of inspiration I was looking for. Perfectly formed without feeling too compressed, instead giving the illusion of a really spacious space. This pretty much sums up my dream interiors…
