Vintage Meets New

13th May 2010

What happens when you mix authentic 1950’s and 1960’s pieces with new contemporary designs? You get very stylish and super cool interiors.

I came across these pictures in an Italian magazine, a country which oozes style  (ok so I am being a tad biased!). I was immediately drawn to these interiors for their effortless coolness in which the minimal essentials were used giving fantastic results. From the colour schemes to the vintage pieces, from the lighting to the artworks, it all complements each other so nicely.

Vintage and new, it simply is a match made in heaven which I had to share with you.

This is one of my favourites, I love the colour scheme in this room, the yellow accent gives it that extra lift. The lighting and the cushion complement each other so well, and that rug gives it some real depth and texture. Love it…

I love the vintage patchwork rug, really lifts the space up!

This is one of my favourite shots, gorgeous simplicity.

This wall panel from Dedar is absolutely fabulous!
