LDF10: Lets ‘Blow and Roll’

19th September 2010
Here I am amidst all this positive energy at the V&A, absorbing everything that is fantastic around me. I just have to share another favourite feature of mine which is the ‘Blow and Roll’ installation created from Polish designer Oskar Zieta. Situated in the John Madeski Garden it is definitely one harmonious graceful sculpture.

The sculpture utilises a revolutionary technique developed by his own company Prozessdesign which uses air to inflate steel to create perfectly shaped 3d objects. I absolutely love the fact that water was put into the pond to give more of an overall 3d effect. To strengthen the effect, glossy stainless steel were used reflecting its reflection in the water, surroundings and elements. It works so well with its graceful forms producing an imaginative and sensitive piece.

Available for viewing until the 26th September, a definite must see!
