Jo Malone & David Hicks Candles
For those that follow me on twitter or facebook may have known about my excitement yesterday when I received a lovely gift in the post. Jo Malone sent me their new limited edition candle in a gorgeous lime basil mandarin fragrance. I mean how exciting is that? For one thing I love candles and secondly I adore Jo Malone!
Anyway the story behind the candle is that it is part of their collaboration with the work of late British interior designer David Hicks. This designer of the late 20th century introduced an eclectic mix of old & new and bright pop influenced prints that still influence designers nowadays. His son, Ashley Hicks, also a renowned designer has reinterpret three classic geo-prints by maintaining the style of his father and of the Jo Malone brand. These gorgeous candles come in three sumptuous fragrances, Lime Basil Mandarin, Red Roses and Pomegranate Noir. The images below are really quite fun, dark and mysterious, wouldn’t you agree?
