Bedroom Styles

1st November 2012
As I mentioned on a previous post I have a new place which I am really excited about decorating. Still a slow process as I constantly change my mind. There are some people that have the one distinct style and then there is me who is a lover of so many different looks. From shabby chic to pretty florals to the retro look – I just like them all. So when it comes to bedroom styling I am still indecisive as ever. I wanted to share with you some of my favourite bedroom images which I came across during my shoots for Heart Home magazine.

I love this mix of dark colours and bold patterns. Perfect look as it is not too masculine but neither girly so I could perhaps compromise with the husband.
I simply adore this pretty floral bedroom. Romantic and ever so dreamy….
I love this clean modern look. Oozing understated coolness with a complete minimal feel.
Vintage chic at its best. Am in love with those fairy lights and the wallpaper is also exquisite.
Enjoyed shooting this pretty cottage. Very cosy and such pretty pops of colours & patterns used throughout.
This is not from a Heart Home shoot but I had to include this bedroom from Grace Bonney. How cool is this headboard – simply love it!

I'm loving the modern room, and the wardrobe doors in the vintage photo!

It's the shiny floral and the union jack for me. Just spent the day photographing a fave bedroom at home before it gets dismantled to become an office. Sniff.

    Hi Arianna,

I have a little sample of the metallic floral pinned by my desk & has been here for 2 years – wait to sneek in passed the OH somewhere!

I'm drawn to the first image – clean lines, neutrals, textural prints…and the vintage doors in the fourth image. I'm a lot like you I'm torn between several design aesthetics. Thanks for the honest post.

I love the vintage chic. I would like to do an armoire in that paper pattern.
    Thanks for this.
