Sunday Date At The Chelsea Sunday Lupper Club

15th March 2016

Do you ever get the Sunday blues?! That Sunday evening feeling that just won’t shake off? Well then I have a little something to share with you guys that might help you ease into Monday morning with a little more tranquility. January saw The Ivy Chelsea Garden  launch ‘The Chelsea Sunday Lupper Club’ in partnership with Curzon Chelsea, offering the perfect escape from the inevitable  Sunday ‘slump’.

‘The Chelsea Sunday Lupper Club’ provides the ideal pre supper afternoon activity to cheer us up. Simply book a late afternoon (screenings starting between 5.30pm and 6.30pm) Sunday film screening at the iconic Curzon Chelsea, then stroll across the road to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, flashing your ticket stubs to enjoy a warming Shepherd’s Pie and perfectly chilled glass of The Ivy Champagne.

I obviously had to try this out as shepherds pie was literally calling my name! Sunday evening cinema is always a good idea and I do love the Curzon cinema, it’s just so iconic! After our 5.30pm movie (which was A Bigger Splash btw – if you like a bit of 1970’s rock ‘n’ roll then this is for you) we made our way to The Ivy. Champagne, shepherds pie, fantastic service, it’s my idea of the perfect Sunday evening and the excuse to hang out with your girlfriends or OH. It is simply the perfect way to round off the weekend whilst ensuring you are home for an early night in preparation for the week ahead.

I was intrigued by the ‘lupper’ – clever idea! Am especially loving the idea of pairing Shepherd’s Pie with champagne!

Sounds like a great Sunday activity. Anything to distract from a Monday is good in my book.
