The Domestic Challenge With Philips PerfectCare Compact Iron

13th September 2017

I’m no domestic goddess, in fact far from it. I do occasionally enjoy cooking and sometimes baking, but when it comes to house chores then that’s another matter. I mean lets be honest hands up if you thrive on the challenge of passing the hoover, doing the laundry and worst of all doing the ironing?! Nope I didn’t think so!

The latter is probably the one chore that I try and avoid if I can. It’s not only the fact that I find it boring but probably the fact that I am so damn slow at it and not very good, therefore becoming so time consuming. It’s one of those things that the husband and I try to avoid as we are both quite busy and always travelling with our jobs.

Struggling with my old iron…

Then again the reason that I probably don’t enjoy it could be due to the fact that I haven’t been using a good iron thus making it all so complicated. Therefore I was super intrigued to be offered the chance to put to the test the new Philips PerfectCare compact Steam Generator.

A lightweight steam generator iron within a compact design which is easy to handle and easy to store. I wanted to see if it really delivered what it promised, thus spending less time ironing with the PerfectCare Compact thanks to the powerful continuous steam and the compact size of the iron. Apparently You can get through your ironing pile faster!

One of my favourite features has to be the OptimalTEMP technology, iron any fabric from jeans to silk without having to adjust the temperature, guaranteed no burns. I mean that is a total game changer!

A 1.5 litre transparent tank gives you 1.5 hours of continuous use and you can see clearly how much water is left and refill easily under the tap through the large filling door. It also has a 2 year warrantee and 60 day money back guarantee.

So we decided to put the Philips PerfectCare compact Steam Genarator to the test and see if it really delivered by doing a mini challenge. Here my husband and I decided to iron each others clothes and see if we could do it in less time than with our old iron. It usually takes me a good 40 minutes to 1 hour when ironing a large pile. So here is a mini video showing you our challenge… Did we really save on time? Have a look below and all will be revealed!

So there you have it! Believe all the hype, ironing is made that little bit easier with the PerfectCare Compact. The actual experience makes it also slightly pleasant. Don’t get me wrong I am never going to love ironing! But using an iron that is fuss free and easy to use does make the experience more pleasurable. And it is totally true, ironing is cut by nearly half the time that I would normally take, leaving you with more time on your hands to enjoy quality time with your partner or family, and most importantly time for yourself.

So after our challenge we did enjoy an evening on the beach and managed to catch the sunset…

Ahh, this looks great – I do the minimum amount of ironing possible, so think I could really get along with a time saving iron like that!
