The Winner Is…………
Did anyone manage to watch the Oscars the other night? Well to be honest I was only looking forward to the red carpet event just to see what the stars were wearing. There were so many beautiful gowns especially in pastel colours and metallics, making it clear what was hot this season.
I have picked out my top 3 dresses of the night which I think were a real statement to the latest trends not only in fashion but also in the interior world.
Being the romantic that I am, my favourite gown of the evening was worn by Rachel McAdams, who made a sweeping statement in a gorgeous watercolour print by Ellie Saab. Containing shades of pinks, blues and greens and all those flowing panels of organza…….Simply stunning!!!
In a very close second place was Demi Moore with her stunning Atelier Versace silk organza dress. The blush tone colour was simply fresh and the ruffles and rose detail were delightful and delicate.
Cameron Diaz came in third place with her exquisite Oscar De La Renta beaded gown. Wearing a champagne tulle gown with metallic ribbon and gold paillette embroidery, she simply was shimmering!!
Now the hunt is on for finding gorgeous fabrics like these dresses…….. Off I go to the Chelsea Design Centre!!!
