Jesscia Zoob

I have just come back from my Easter break and still in a holiday mood I am finding these paintings very inspiring. The artist in question is Jesscia Zoob.
With a vast use of media, she uses a mixture of oil paints, acrylics, gels textured with glass, cement, sand or crushed garnet and gesso in order to build a painting’s underlying structure. Many of the paintings are created by a process of building up and scraping back layers of paint. Some works may also be embellished with crystal jewels, beads, pearls, metal disks or tiny shells.

Personally I find these very refreshing and calming, each painting showing her love for untamed nature. Here are a few of my favourites…
