Embracing Social Media With Kelly Hoppen
A great evening of letting loose ideas on how to improve the online world of interiors. Great things are really happening in the social media for interiors, thanks to the launch of kelly Hoppen’s iphone app it is really opening the doors to this industry.
As mentioned by Leon Bailey-Green (from the Online Fashion Agency) on the debate panel, there are so many big fashion names who are involved in social media while in the interior world this is still lacking. Another great point is that fashion values the importance of blogging because they are aware that it is a large community that inspire others.
It is great that Kelly is probably the first British interior designer to embrace it and hopefully launch this trend. We definitely need to catch up with the fashion world but I am so very confident we can do this, thanks to Kelly, great things are really happening. With the launch of her app and a burst of new design bloggers surely the interior industry will catch up online!
To celebrate this and thanking Kelly for her wonderful work I am giving away a free download of the Kelly Hoppen’s ‘home style’ app. To have a chance just follow these simple steps:
The winner will be selected randomly on Monday 8th and will be sent a link to download the app for free from Apple iTunes Store.

5th November 2010 at 10:08 amI really hope the interior world soon catches up with the fashion world. I'm inundated with fashion blogs/twitter feeds/facebook pages which all communicate in the same stuck up way. I don't get this impression of pretension with interior blogs. Lets wait and see what happens.

5th November 2010 at 3:39 pmI wish I knew this talk was taking place! An app can always be a good idea, although I should probably try KH's application before giving my opinion. I quite agree with Walter's comment. I'm equally flooded by news of all sorts which are quite honestly rarely interesting and/or relevant. I often find myself fishing for really good news – not always a relaxing stress free activity. Lets wait and see what the future of Social Media has in store for us.

5th November 2010 at 4:21 pmI'm always inspired by interior designs in the UK. Eveything always looks so crisp and edgy. I'm excited for the design world to become easier to navigate the only trouble I find is sticking to an idea. I love your blog and read it often.

I love reading your blog and it was so interesting to hear the feedback on the design debate, really interesting points made, especially as my main background is within the fashion industry, Larissa.

8th November 2010 at 5:21 pmI think this is exciting! It would have been fun to hear Kelly Hoppen Speak on this. Fashion is fun but not as relevant to my business. We need better resources and support form other designers.
