Kelly Hoppen – Ideas Giveaway
I was so excited to receive two copies of the new Kelly Hoppen book ‘Ideas’ last week. I adore interior design books they are the ultimate source for inspiration so to receive this as a gift from Kelly makes me very happy.
Ideas is a beautifully stylish book which very much embraces Kelly’s style and aesthetics. There is also a foreword from Victoria Beckham for all the interested fashionistas out there 😉 It is very much a little black book of ideas and advice to help you with the whole design process. Filled with practical and creative information, checklists, inspiration boxes, Kelly is very generous with her knowledge as she opens up tremendously in this book showcasing her projects and telling you where certain pieces of furniture and accessories are from. There are some beautiful shots in this book which I find very inspiring. It is fantastic for the complete novice, a confidence booster for the new interior designer starting out in her career or for anyone who needs that little inspiration.
A few images from the book. First image is UK cover, second image is USA cover. Image credit Mel Yates.

28th February 2011 at 2:51 pmI would love a copy of this book! I am an interior design student, and I love looking at all styles and inspirations for homes. I also love books, and I worry that books will become obsolete with all the eReaders out there! I like to classically mark my books with post-its. 🙂

28th February 2011 at 4:06 pmHi Ari, lovely review!
I would love to win because:
1) it looks absolutely beautiful
2) I'm about to spend a small fortune on Holly's book among others and am now desperate for this one too (I try to give myself a monthly book budget and I couldn't possibly wait to get my hands on this until next month!)
Fingers crossed! xx

28th February 2011 at 5:41 pmI would love to win this book because I am very poor Textile Design student, and I constantly use books like these from the uni library for inspiration, as I design my textiles for interiors. It would be a massive treat to own my own bit of beauty, instead of a 7 day loan!

28th February 2011 at 5:48 pmI think I should win the copy because Kelly is my idol and I often draw inspiration from her being that Im a newcomer to the design world. I also suffered a rather painful paper cut from my first Kelly book and she tweeted me 'Sorry' so this could be my gift for the pain I endured for my love of Kelly ha x

28th February 2011 at 10:15 pmI would be honoured to win this book as Kelly Hoppen to me a one of the most iconic symbols of interior design. I strongly admire her creativity and entrepreneurialism. From interiors, to fabrics, to candles, to clothing, paints, furniture and fittings, linens, shutters, artwork to my favourite – the design school, Ms. Hoppen evolves from strength to strength. I adore the way she gives back, investing in the new fresh talent of designers in her design school thus inspiring others and I would love to win her book in order to devlop and grow further.

28th February 2011 at 10:48 pmGrandiloquent website launches in Spring – encouraging everyone to be aware of how easy it is to restyle their living space (inside and out) as well as look after your property, old or new and maybe entice a few to become a little bit of a conservator, little bit eco warrior. Love to put this under my READS section on the website but really just want it for my coffee table!

1st March 2011 at 8:54 amHi Arianna
Firstly, fantastic blog, so inspirational.
Secondly, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE Kelly Hoppen's new book as I am just starting out as an interior designer in East if England. Although extremely exciting, it is a big scary step and having such an industry 'bible' to aid me on those sleepless nights and guide me when designers block sets in, would be amazing.
Wishing you a fantastic 2011
