It’s Royal wedding fever happening all over the world and I love just knowing how everyone is celebrating this big event. A day where it really is uniting everyone globally which in a way is really quite exciting. I am constantly fascinated what is going on internationally so it was quite fun seeing that across the other side of the pond
Von Hemert Interiors in Orange County, California is going to be throwing a very elegant luxury furniture event themed around the royal wedding on Thursday evening 28th April.
Von Hemert Interiors is a respected full service furniture retailer with an experienced in-house interior design team in the US. This fourth generation family run company produces elegant, traditional interiors for a discerning clientèle. They have gone all out with the celebration with an A-list team of event partners getting involved. What is really special about this, is that 5% of all proceeds of sales during the event and through the end of their business on Sunday will be donated to the Red Cross to help the victims in the Japanese earthquake. Unfortunately in times like these not everyone can be fortunate enough to enjoy themselves so it really makes me happy that we can in some way help those that need it the most! It shows us that events like these can really be beneficial to all!
Therefore I was extremely honoured when they asked myself and the lovely Stacey from Quintessence Blog (@quintessenceblg on twitter) if we wanted to get involved by helping out and get everyone joining in on the fun! This is a fabulous idea and I am so excited announcing this game amongst you guys, It is so fun that people based in the UK, Europe and anywhere around the world have a chance of playing together and really connecting globally. The prize will be a beautiful Union Jack beaded evening clutch designed by famous handbag designer Joanna Lhuillier. So here’s the deal…
Have you ever wondered what it would be like choosing furniture for the royal couple ‘s home? Quite a daunting task I would say, I mean what perfect item would look great in their new house? For now, when in London it seems they will be living in Clarence House but in the meantime, Prince Charles is building a ‘green’ home for them on the 900 acre Harewood Park Estate in Herefordshire, close to the border of Wales as well as Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. Well here’s your chance to show us what you think you would choose for this new home if you were designing it! All you have to do is follow these simple steps…
How to play:
1. Click
here to like von Hemert’s facebook page.
2. Pick the furniture by going to the
brands page on Von Hemert’s site. Choose whatever you like from the following 4 collections: Baker, Century, Hickory Chair, and Theodore Alexander (2nd page).
3. Pick your piece(s), copy the url of that piece from the browser bar and paste the link back on
von Hemert’s facebook page with a comment telling us why you think it’s the right piece for the young royal couple.
4. If you are not familiar with how to paste on facebook follow these steps:
- Under photos at top see Share.
- Click on “link”
- Paste the copied url for the furniture piece there
- In the comment box that appears, write your reason for choosing the piece
- Finally, click share and it will appear
Pretty simple right? The winner will be announced and chosen by myself and Stacey on Friday 29th April, what better way than to celebrate this Royal Day with you guys!
Good luck and enjoy the party 😉
