Super Healthy Tasty Porridge
Breakfast for me is probably one of the most important part of the day. I’m not one of those people that can just have a cup of coffee and nothing else. Breakfast is a ritual for me and I usually try to have something different every day so it makes it far more exciting. I am a big fan of porridge and there are so many ways to make it. Here is a simple recipe that is my absolute favourite.
Recipe (serves 2)
80g Porridge Oats
300ml Almond Milk, Rice Milk or Soya Milk
1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 teaspoon of Maple Syrup
Half grated Apple
A mix of Raspberries, Strawberries and Blueberries
A mix of Sunflower seeds, Linseeds and Pumpkin seeds
4 chopped Walnuts
In a saucepan on a low heat mix the the porridge and almond milk. Add the maple syrup and cinnamon and keep stirring until it is nice and creamy. Turn off heat and mix in the grated apple. After place in a bowl and sprinkle all of your fruit, seeds and walnuts on top. Voila – your tasty porridge is ready. For sweet lovers you can drizzle some maple syrup over…
Again you can add whatever milk you prefer, my favourite is almond milk. Rice milk and Soya milk are also yummy alternatives.
