London Design Week 2011
London Design Week started yesterday and I am extremely excited about this event! With over 400 showroom brands the Chelsea Design Centre is an absolute haven showcasing new collections, and if you are like me who goes weak at the knees at the sight of fabrics then this is the place for you. I cannot wait to look at luxurious brands such as Sahco, Donghia, Zimmer + Rohde, Sanderson and so many many more. A day is obviously not enough, so much to take in. Looking forward to the design lectures, in particular the Elle Decoration talk featuring Lee Broom. If you are in London then do make sure to pop by it’s definitely an event you don’t want to miss out. I will be reporting back after my expeditions to the showrooms and I cannot wait to share with you all of my highlights from the show.
So are you going? Have you been? your favourite collections? Tell me tell me, I do want to know. Here are a few teasers to whet your appetite.

15th March 2011 at 7:04 pmAri, that's so interesting because I was there, today and my favourites were Lelievre and Sahco, too! Zoffany has some very *interesting* new fabrics that have been brilliantly showcased – really impressive colour work… Robert Allen also has some really nice new designs. Sadly, I think Donghia has gone (they may be under a new name?) I miss admiring their (£££) armchairs…
Looking forward to your afterthoughts. I'm about to post NOW – if I don't do it, it'll be next week before I resurface…x

15th March 2011 at 7:14 pmOooooh thanks Heather I can't wait for your post as I haven't managed to get down there yet….. Yes I am confused with Donghia I think Rubelli may have something to do with it as I know the new CEO is Andrea Favaretto Rubelli….
See you Thursday 🙂

Thank you for sharing. Suki
(Hope to chat with all of you in BYW.class, too)
