Exciting news is just in that the talented fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg will be turning interior designer for the iconic London Claridge’s hotel. She will be designing a series of rooms and suites at the boutique Hotel, maintaining her signature style with iconic prints and bold colours as well as original pieces of furniture.
Diane Von Furstenberg has alway mainted a great relationship with the hotel since the 1970’s. She has also said that past collections have been inspired by the hotel’s jewel-like interior.
“One of my fondest memories was when I was in London as a young, independent businesswoman and stayed at Claridge’s. I knew I had made it,” she says. “To me, Claridge’s is the most glamorous hotel in the world; I regard it as my home away from home. I am honoured to become part of the hotel’s legacy and rich design history.”
I cannot wait to see what she will delight us with, all will be unveiled in June, Let the countdown begin!
