I thought I would start sharing each month my current favourite ‘beauty’ products. This month I’m seriously suffering from the winter blues and my skin has been needing more TLC than usual. With the cold weather it just feels drier and more sensitive than usual and missing that spark that we tend to radiate during the Summer. So I found the loveliest bronzing powder by Hourglass, this lighting powder gives that radiant look that one needs this time of year. Next up is this gorgeous scented Chantecaille flower harmonizing cream. A blend of  essential oils, flower extracts, seaweed and vitamins, it’s perfect for sensitive skin types like me and it’s great as an eye cream as well. It’s definitely what my skin needs right now! I’m not going to lie, it’s super pricey but this is how I see it (or try to justify it) when you’re in your thirties sometimes these things are a good ‘life’ investment!

Moving onto eyebrows, I’ve been searching for the perfect eyebrow pencil. I have very light brows so I tend to find most pencils too dark. I’ve tried pulling off a Cara Delevingne look but just end up looking like I’ve come out of a boxing match. So then Kevyn Aucoin The Pencil Brow, walks into my life and it’s a game changer! The warm blonde colour is far from harsh and I too can now have naturally looking fuller eyebrows. Suffering from dry, chapped lips?! Look no further as I’m obsessed with By Terry Baume De Rose, it keeps my lips super hydrated for so many hours and just smells divine! I have to thank Sophie Robinson for the recommendation. Next up, to help maintain my skin in top condition I occasionally use Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish just before going to bed. It’s perfect to remove all traces of makeup but without drying your skin up, keeping it softer and brighter. I am a big fan of Liz Earle’s products as you really do notice the difference, skin just looks and feels better. If on the other hand you’re a little lazy like myself then you are going to love Bioderma Solution Micellaire. The ultra-mild, non-rinse micellar water cleanser and make-up remover. Totally hassle free and perfect for those with sensitive skin, still keeping it super soft.

Finding the perfect skincare product is never easy as it is just so personal. These are the current ones that are working for me. I would love to know which products you guys vow by, after all sharing is caring 😉

Oh I’m loving the look of that rose lip balm! Might have to add that to my (ever-growing) list of must-haves! And agree, I love a bit of glow this time of year, the lack of sun makes my skin look so sallow and using products like this makes me feel like I’ve had a bit of sunshine even when I haven’t! Fake it til ya make it, right? 😉 xx

Do you use that powder as a setting powder? I’ve been wanting to try something like that.

Hey Maggie, Yes, it’s the only powder I use after my concealer and bb cream. I’m not adventurous when it comes to makeup – just the essentials 😉 x

I’m so lazy when it comes to me and "the face". I spend hours making my home look nice… whilst wearing baggies and my hair tied up and not an ounce of make-up. I need to practice making myself look half decent again. Getting married this year so better make an effort for the photos. Some good face cream would be an excellent start!x

I love all things Chantecaille. That cream sounds lovely. I have the blusher and liquid pen eye liner which is amazing.

I love all the French brands such as bioderma, nuxe, and klorane, I always stock up on them when I go to France. I also like REN for their natural ingredients and soft fragrant smells, apparently their new eye cream is a miracle worker x

These all look lovely, but I’m especially loving the bronzing powder – I’ve only recently discovered bronzer (always worried before that it would make me look tangoed and glittery, not realising there are much more subtle effects to be had with them).
My all-time fave skin care product is Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, but am also known to do a quick lazy sweep with miscellar water when late to bed. Thanks for sharing your January favourites, I look forward to February’s.

OMG Liz Earle was just a life-changer for me. I started using it about 8 years ago before we got married (my skin broke out a lot due to stress) and it really helped get me back on track. Wouldn’t be without it now! x
