Mediterranean Interiors Inspiration From Bright Bazaar’s New Book Dream Decor

1st June 2016

I’m quite excited to share this post with you guys, because it’s quite a special one indeed. My best friend Will Taylor aka Bright Bazaar has recently launched his amazing second book, Dream Decor, which basically offers inspiration on how to translate a stylish look for any home, anywhere.

Dream Décor is full of aspirational yet accessible design from across Europe and America. From the Hamptons to Tuscany, New York to Paris, Sweden to Spain, Santorini to Miami, Los Angeles to London, a diverse range of glorious interiors and décor ideas are explored in the personality- packed homes Will visited.

However there is one home that clearly is my favourite for purely selfish reasons! You see rewind to last year in June when Will had to go and photograph a home for his book in the south of Italy. With the home owner not speaking a word of english and Will not speaking Italian, it all could have been a little problematic. Luckily my language skills came to the rescue and really it was any excuse to travel down to Puglia. Being behind the scenes on one of Will’s photoshoot was so much fun! This gorgeous home in Puglia that Will hunted down was just beautiful.

The Home of architect Raffaele Centonze & family takes a totally less is more approach which I absolutely adore. Mixing it up with rustic vibes using elements such as bamboo and driftwood plus touches of vintage pieces, makes this an utterly charming space. Not to mention splashes of pastel colours through out, which literally make me go weak at the knees – You know me I’m a sucker for pops of pastel!

With Andrew Boyd’s dreamlike interiors photography and Will’s evocative travel imagery and charming illustrations, Dream Décor dives into fifteen distinct interiors, each one mirroring its environment and epitomising its location.

This book is one of a kind and packed with so much inspiration that helps you achieve the interiors of your dream no matter where you are in the world. It’s about gathering your visual surroundings while travelling or while admiring certain interiors and interpreting them in your own space.

Thank you Will for bringing the fun into interiors and letting us dream!

Dream Decor: Styling A Cool, Creative And Comfortable Home, Wherever You Live by Will Taylor, photography by Andrew Boyd. Published by Jacqui Small (£25). The book is available to order on Amazon now and more information can be found here.

What a gorgeous home, and lucky you being there for the shoot (though they were lucky to have you as interpreter too!). I love this book, such gorgeous homes, photography and ideas, and it’s lovely to hear your personal connection to it too.
